Predictions to football (EPL) 09/10

In August, the football season will kick off again. At the moment, teams are having the warm up matches and pre season tournements. The biggest diccusions at the moment are, can Manchester City make the top four and at the expence of who? Manchester City have bought heaps of strikers such as Emanuel Adabayor. They may have a good foward pack, but their defence is looking weak. Manchester City are looking to buy John terry. But this will not happen because John Terry loves Chelsea. I think Manchester City will have a good start to the season but won’t break the top 4. This is because they don’t have a strong defense. I also think that with so many strikers at Manchester City, that they’ll just be their own worst enemy. This year I ‘m thinking Chelsea will win The EPL with Manchester United about 4 four points off. The disappointments of the season will will be Liverpool , Arsenal and maybe even  the Manchester teams. Liverpool won’t start off to well because they’ll still be angry about Gareth Brady signing  Manchester  City.  Manchester United will see it’s downfall because Sir Alex Furgeson keeps on talking about Manchester City and not his own business. Arsenal haven’t won anything since 2005 and that was only the FA cup. I think they might win the FA cup but their season will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. My suprise pick is going to be Aston Villa. I think they’ll get into the top4 this season in place of either Arsenal or Liverpool. They’ll keep Ashley Young and win a place in the UEFA champions league. Of course, then there’s the relegation zone. I;m picking that three of these five teams will get relegated: Burnley,  Birmingham,  Wolverhampton Wanders,  Stoke City and Hull City. Now, all we have to do is wait and see.

Football, Who got what

It’s the end of football season and it’s time to say who got what. First, Spain won the Euro 2008 with a win against Germany 1-0 in the final. Manchester United won the E.P.L (English premier league) Barcelona won La Liga, (Spanish league) and Inter Milan won the Serie A (Italian league) Barcelona upset Manchester United to win U.E.F.A cup.  After  a great  start, Chelsea started getting disappointing results, surely they should get some silver wear. But how would they do against an eager Everton in the F.A cup. Especially when they were 1-0 down. Luckily Chelsea  won 2-1 and got some thing for their great start. Next, the confederations cup is coming up and after that, we start all over again. Don’t  forget in 2010,  there is the  always exciting  world cup in South Africa!

tennis

In the holidays, the last Friday I went to a tennis tournament.There were only doubles.My doubles partner was Mark.We had four matches in the round robin system.Our opponents were:Ashley and Jordan,Tyler and Victoria,Woody and Jonathan,and Lauren and Jazmine. Our first opponents were Ashley and Jordan.We ended up winning 7-6 in a tie break. At one stage we were losing 4-2  in the tie break but came back and won 7-4 in the tie break. Our next game was against Jonathan and woody. We easily won 7-0! We always looked to win so we got the result we wanted. Our next game wasn’t as good, we won but we weren’t playing as good. Our last game was against Tyler and Victoria.This was to win the championship. The winners were… us! We won 7-2. It was time for prize giving.Both of us got some strings.

Wellington camp

 The last week our class went to Wellington for our class camp. We went to lots of  places, On the way down we stopped at the Army Museum in Waiouru.In Wellington we went to the Karori wild life centre, the Wellington Zoo,St Pauls Cathedral, a war memorial that showed the tomb of the unknown soldier, a museum where we learnt about the Wahine disaster,a tour of the Westpac Stadium, a look at parliament where I saw John Key and Jeanette Fitzsimons, ONTV, the sound house and even a trip to Picton! We did a lot of time though in  museums and war places. Most of the people I asked thought that the sound  house was by far the best. My favourite was also the sound house because you had to create your own piece of music. The bus trip their and back was long and got a little boring at times  Everyone enjoyed camp a lot and all will have fond memories for weeks after.

UEFA champions league Predictions

My predictions for the champions league are …All Chelsea, ManU Arsenal, and Barcelona will make the semi’s. Chelsea  Chelsea will be playing Barcelona and I’m believing that Chelsea will win. Man U will play Arsenal and lose either 2-1,1-0, or they’ll lose on penalties. Chelsea will play Arsenal and the winner will be …Arsenal. Hopefully this will not happen, I ‘m going for Chelsea, then  Villareal, then Aresenal.
